Ardilla confusions
¡Hola Molé! What's up, dudette? I enjoyed the pics of you in your last post. I admire your cute-idity. I am myself rather a handsome man. That's what BigKitty says. You've got some amazing toes.
I was kinda confused about the ardillas. I didn't know what an ardilla was and I have never understood what Lalla CC meant by monkeys. Then I realized, oh, that's squirrels. Had to get the online Spanish dictionary out for that one. Odd that the word is ardilla - doesn't look anything like the Latin, sciurus. You wouldn't happen to know the etymology of ardilla, would you? You should let me know if you figure that out. And especially let me know if you figure out why CC thinks they are monkeys. I still don't understand how they got in the house though - you say the feeder was in the window? How'd they get in? They are kinda dumb. One tried to chew through a window fan to get in my old house. The sound of squirrel teeth on a fan blade was unforgettable.
Yeah, the squirrels are somethin' else aren't they? They're fun to chase. You should try it sometime. Though you'd have to go outside to do that - sure you don't want to try it? It's totally fun. There's all kinds of good sniffs, and exploring to do, and ardillas to chase, and birds to see, and, well, you get the picture. Sure you're not a, ahem, scaredy-cat?
